Hi, My name is Shanemichael Duncan. I’m one of the founders of Bear Essential Hair! The youngest of three boys , I was born and raised in Tri-State area. Intrigued by people’s hair, how it was styled, the color, length, and texture.
I knew that one day this would be the path my life would travel. Currently a stylist , and cosmetology educator, I began honing my skills, and building my book of clients, noticing that barbering skills were highly sought after especially in the bear community.
I practiced, and realized after taking part of no shave november, that men’s beards required grooming the same as the hair on their head. This, the help and guidance of a business partner lead me to the beard industry, and bear essential hair.
Bear Essential Hair will afford me the ability to remain in the salon, while also becoming an ally and advocate to the anti-bullying movement. A cause that is very close to me, and, my path in life.
